This policy covers two separate things: the SwayForm website (swayform.net) and the SwayForm robot platform. They are described separately below because they handle data very differently.

The robot platform

The robot's core processing — motion control, ROS 2 nodes, and camera processing — runs locally on its onboard Raspberry Pi. The robot does not require a cloud connection to operate.

Camera and sensor processing happens locally on the robot by default.
Classroom images and video are not uploaded automatically.
Classroom data is not sold.
Classroom data is not used to train external AI models by default.

Any future optional cloud service (for example, future simulation tools or classroom features described on our roadmap) will require separate disclosure and consent before it is enabled — nothing described here changes without that separate notice.

The website

The website serves instructional content (the Learning Hub) and sales/contact information. It does not communicate directly with any robot.

Contact and Contact Sales forms collect only what you submit — name, email, organization, role, and message — to respond to your inquiry. Form submissions are processed through a third-party form-delivery service (Web3Forms) solely to deliver the message to SwayForm.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider may log standard technical information (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes.
Analytics and cookies. If and when analytics or cookies are added to this site, this section will be updated to disclose what is collected and why. As of this update, no dedicated analytics or advertising cookies are in use.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry. A specific retention period will be finalized and published here before commercial release.

Your choices

We will not add contact-form submitters to a marketing mailing list or share their information with third parties for marketing purposes.

This policy will be updated as SwayForm's products and services develop — for example, if a future optional cloud service is introduced. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
